We had a wonderful time in Plaish at Upper Home Farm.The converted barn is beautifully furnished with particular attention to all the details for the best comfort – designer chic in the middle of the countryside!This is an idyllic location with views across the valley that take your breath away.If you are looking for a trip, away from the hustle and bustle of town and city life, this is the place for you.The only sounds you hear are the birds singing and the breeze as it rustles through the trees.Graham and Stephan are two lovely and caring hosts, who are passionate about offering the best service and experience for their guests. - J
Bucolic setting, ideal for a relaxing and peaceful break. Yet not too far from local places of interest and plenty of options for walking.The accommodation is stylish yet very comfortable. Arranged in a suite, we had our own front door leading to a very well appointed lounge. Ambient lighting, soft furnishings, books to read and throws to snuggle under. An inner hallway led to a large double bedroom, with a comfortable bed. Floor to ceiling windows provide plenty of natural light and a view to a garden. The ensuite provided a good sized shower (no bath) with large fluffy towels for drying. It was a delight to find a gift pack of mini Molton Brown products on our dressing table. A good range of teas and instant coffee were available, along with fresh milk and water in a "silent" fridge. Borders biscuits completed the refreshement offering.There was parking on site - right outside the front door. Along with access to a garden bench and table affording a beautiful view over the fields and hills.We opted to have breakfast, which I would heartly recommend. Great choice of cooked options, with vegans and vegetarians all catered too as a standard. Fresh coffee, fruits and yoghurts and as much toast as you wished for. The dining room was accessed through an door from our suite. (Locked before and after breakfast.) Again, a bright and colourful room.Stephan and Graham are excellent hosts and spent time chatting with us about their interesting lives. This is optional! But for us added value to our experience.We would certainly stay again and have no hesitation in recommending as an excellent place to stay. - Stephanie G
